Begin with the agreed objective
A product launch, a brand perception programme and a lead-generation campaign should not all be judged by the same headline metric. Agree the objective and the evidence needed before production starts.
Keep the definitions visible
State the reporting period, source, currency where relevant and whether figures include paid distribution. Views, reach and impressions are different measures. Platform totals should not be combined into a claim of unique people without appropriate deduplication.
Treat attribution with care
Tagged links, promotional codes and platform events can support attribution, but each has blind spots. Distinguish attributed revenue from incremental revenue and both from profit. Document the window and treatment of returns or cancellations.
End with a decision, not another chart
Identify which creative angles, creators or audience groups deserve another test, what should change and what cannot yet be concluded. A useful review helps the next campaign become more specific.
